All Was In Court

The Judge sat in Court in pomp and refine,

Still drunk for the previous night.

Where's the Prisoner he demanded?

Why Sir Your Honour he is still Remanded.

Then bring him here as I have a lot to do,

I have a game of Golf at 2.00.

The prisoner looking worried and scared,

Stood in the dock transfixed and stared.

Your guilty of that said the judge I am sure,

10 years in prison will make you secure.

But your Honour said the lawyer my client is accused of littering instead,

Panic set in the prisoner's head.

The accused rose up in full height,

Jumped out of the dock and fled with fright.

Treading across desks, fingers and hands, flying papers and leaving a mess,

Screaming, shoving, and fighting no less.

Two eyes and wig in hiding behind,

The judge scared out of his mind.

Lawyers and barristers wigs put to flight,

When the prisoner escaped in the commotion and fight.

After all had calmed down and commotion was done,

Finding the prisoner had vacated and gone.

The judge now getting brave stood up and said,

Capture the prisoner and bring him hear to be led.

The prisoner now caught brought in front of the judge, still shaking with fear,

It seems a mistake was made it would appear.

Case dismissed he said with sobering thought,

This day I have learnt something, a lesson being taught.
